Purchased this a couple of weeks ago and have used it daily. I live in the rainy Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada. I walk each day rain or shine with my 3 month old son & my daughter as we run errands and go to/from preschool, etc. We do attachment parenting so baby is constantly being carried or “worn”. This cover has proven to be aRead more about review stating A necessity for baby in rainy/cold weather.n essential part of our outdoor gear. So glad we have it. Wish it was around 4 years ago to use for my daughter.
I deducted one star due to 3 reasons:
1) the snaps did not fit my Original Galaxy Grey Carrier. However, once contacted, Ergo Baby was super quick in sending me adapters through the mail which has resolved the issue;
2) the hood does not have a drawstring as pictured on the website & the box it comes in;
3) there is no pocket on the weather cover / I can’t access pocket on carrier when cover is on

My wife, 2.5 year old and 6 month old recently did a trip to the Canadian Rockies and bought this to go with our Ergo 360 which we use with our 6mo. We were hiking and backpacking in the rain and snow including doing a 30 mile 3 day trek.
This cover does a good job at keeping the baby warm and covered. Its easy to snap on to our other ERead more about review stating Used for a backpacking trip in the rain and snowrgo products (we have the 360 and the performance). The material did a great job keeping water and rain out although I think in a downpour the fact that the hood doesn’t cinch down would be problematic. As you can see in the pics, the baby stayed dry during snow and rain. The cover is also a great wind break although during really high winds, I had to hold the sides in place so air didn’t get through the gaps.
On the negative side, like other Ergo products, the snaps at the shoulders don’t seemed to be placed in the right spot / are not adjustable and are just above where I can reach across my body easily so in all ways they are annoying. Due to the straps, depending on the activity, the babies head doesn’t get the right amount of support. I spent a decent amount of time holding the babies head so that it didn’t tip back too far.
I took a star off because the snaps for neck support are not in the right place but considering there is no other product I know of which one can use for hiking in the rain and snow with a baby, this is a product that any adventurous/outdoorsy parent will probably want to own. In fact, without this product, there is no way we would’ve done what ended up being an incredible trek.
