My son loves being in this! I use it every single day. My baby has bad acid reflux. He pukes a lot less in his carrier than when I hold him since there’s no pressure on his poor lil tummy. Hurray!
Here are 6 reasons why this carrier definitely lives up to the hype that the reviews give it:
1. It is so comfy to wear! It has padded straps and balanced weight distribution. It actually feels much much better than just holding baby.
2. I can carry my baby hands free. Freedoooom. 😉
3. It has a long lifespan. Newborn – Toddler (Unless your baby can’t stand not seeing what’s going on. Then it’s more like once he can face out-toddler haha)
4. It’s made to help prevent hip dysplacia and be comfortable for baby.
5. It’s very simple and fast to put on. I can put my baby in the carrier and have everything safely snapped together in about 20 seconds.
6. It has 4 different positions. Most carriers only have 2 or 3 at best.

Great carrier! Better than my other two high end carriers! So lightweight and cool for my hot natured baby! I absolutely love this carrier. I have been through a Tula and a Lilliebaby, and this carrier is the best! It is so light and so cool for a higher end baby carrier. I purchased because my baby was overheating in the Tula with an insert, and even in a Lilliebaby airflow as bulky as it is. I am a size 18 and it fits me just fine. I was worried about the buckles as some of the other reviews said they were challenging. I have short arms and have no problem reaching around my baby with my arm supporting his back to use two hands to undo the buckles. Having the ability to cross the back straps helps my back immensely while wearing. My friends have the originally Beco Gemini and this one is much lighter. It’s very versatile giving me the ability to face outward or inward in the front carry. My little man really likes to look around in busy environments, but when we are sleepy he goes right to sleep and snuggles facing inward. My baby is small for his age at only 12lbs at 4 1/2 months old and I love that I don’t have to use an insert. I do feel with a tiny newborn the panel is a bit big, but I prefer a wrap anyway. GREAT GREAT carrier! So in love!

I usually carry my babies in a sling or pouch but I felt I needed something that would wick moisture away for our hot summers in Richmond, Virginia which get in the high 90s and low 100s with high high humidity. I’m so happy with this purchase. I began using it when my son was only two weeks old and have continued- he’s now three months old and 16lbs. I found in the beginning that he fit this perfectly and had no worries about whether he could breathe or not as I could easily adjust the straps to make him higher or lower depending upon where I wanted him to be. The fabric is a little rough but does not seem to bother him nor did it leave any marks on the back of his head. I find he is much cooler after removing him then when I remove him from the sling or pouch when we’ve been outside. I did struggle with being able to unclip the straps with the “safety feature I stretch the clasps slightly to be able to open them easier. Overall, I would recommend it- it’s very comfortable.

New Review: after posting my original review the company contacted me. They said they updated their carriers and fixed the issues I had. I received a new one from them and it?s amazing. I can take it on and off with one hand and it?s comfortable. Their customer service is some of the best I have received. They have a new customer of me for life.
Old review: This carrier requires two people to take on and off. The locking buckles are not one hand friendly. It says you can adjust the shoulder straps by pulling with one hand but you can?t. The way they are threaded makes them impossible to tighten or untighten by just pulling on the end of strap. I thought I would solve this problem by taking the buckle off and rethreading, but the end of the strap is too thick to slide through. With a screaming or sleeping baby, the last thing you want to do is try and fenagle with this thing.

This carrier is everything! It fits both me and hubby and is easily adjustable. I love that is has the cool mesh. My son wasn’t a sweaty mess when he was in it. I’ve only worn him in the front forward facing and it was easy on my shoulders and back.

I used an older version of the Beco Gemini with my first daughter, and always found myself wishing for a pocket on this carrier. With my second daughter, I was pleased to find that the newer version and have a pocket and that the clips and cord for the folding head support were replaced with buckets and straps, which are much less abrasive on baby?s head. I ended up buying a new carrier for these features as well as the cool/breathable mesh aspect of this version of the Gemini.

My 5 week old daughter will NOT let me put her down. I have two other brand name carriers. One was just too warm and the other I needed an infant insert. The Beco Gemini is easy to use and so lightweight. I couldn?t be happier!

As a first time mom I was inundated with choices for a baby carrier. Based upon The WireCutter recommendation and amazon reviews, I chose the Beco Gemini and LOVED it. It took just a few tries to get used to the straps (needing two hands) but the baby instantly felt secure and safe in this carrier. Now using two hands is second nature when I am by myself with baby and I am very grateful it has that added safety feature. In addition to the Beco Gemini, we tried a moby wrap and an older version of an ErgoBaby carrier (needing a newborn insert was terrible) but by far the Beco Gemini has been our number one favorite by leaps and bounds. I did have to reach out to customer service after several months of nearly daily use and they responded immediately and resolved the issue immediately. How I am treated as a customer is so important to me and it felt great that this company responded promptly with both kindness and professional attention. It definitely solidified my confidence and choice with Beco Gemini. I recommend this product whole heartily. Your back will thank you and your baby will love it!

Great carrier for newborns! I Iove that it doesn’t need an insert and the newborn adjustments are easy. The mesh may make a difference, you’re still holding a warm baby against yourself so it’s not going to be “cool” but I can see that it might offer better circulation than other carriers.
I took off one star because the weight distribution and padded shoulder straps aren’t quite as good as with my Tula, BUT the tula isn’t good for infants and the tula insert is uncomfortable for me, so I can’t use that carrier until my child is a lot older. For comparison, we also have a bjorn and a mini bjorn and this carrier is MUCH better than those two, it’s just not quite as good as the tula for older babies. We love it for infants!

I struggled with the Ergo for months, finding it heavy, too structured, hot, and unwieldy. Also tried the Moby wrap but it was also too hot, the length of a football field, and not structured enough for my chunky and active boy. Finally tried this and it is the perfect middleg ground between Ergo?s stiff structuredness and the floppy pure fabric wraps and slings. Super breathable, very light, easy to fold and stuff into a bag or stroller storage. Perfection. I use it for indoor and outdoor carrying. Baby tolerates it the most of the three, too. Will be purchasing drool pads from Etsy for it. For reference my baby is 5 months and 22lbs and very tall (99th percentile) and this holds him great with very little discomfort on my back, unlike Moby and Ergo (Ergo doesn?t have back straps that cross in the back like this Beco). Highly recommend this vented breathable version!!

This is the best carrier, especially with the Cool Mesh! I hated several from Infantimo including Flip 4 in 1, Go Forward, etc., Ergo 360, and the Bjorn. I’m 5’9″ with a larger frame and this carrier is very comfortable and distributes the baby’s weight. I really love the added option of the “hip-carry” – not many carriers offer this. It’s also very breathable! We spent long hot summer days using this without any chaffing or feeling too hot or weighed down.
APW via Amazon.com –
Definitely cooler than other carriers. This carrier is far cooler than the others I have tried. I run warm and baby is basically a toaster oven. We went on a 3 mile walk in this carrier at about 75 degrees and neither of us broke a sweat.

Combines the best of the ergo 360, babybjorn and Lillebaby. I already have a babybjorn and a classic ergo carrier for my 3 months old. while the babybjorn worked great for the first months it is now killing my back, so i used the ergo with a waist belt, but my daughter just isn’t comfy in there. as I also have an almost 2 year old I needed a good, no great, carrier for my youngest. She loves to be facing outwards for about 30- 45 min (then she needs a break from the world and wants to face inwards and usually take a nap). so doing some research I was torn between the ergo 360 and the lillebaby as they both allow the facing out position and have waist belts. luckily I finally found the beco gemini combining the best out of these two carriers! So here is why I decided for the beco (and have no regrets)
– allows facing outward position in a good ergonomic way (ergo 360, lillebaby and babybjorn do too, but the babybjorn is less ergonomic. ergo classic does not)
– allows to change the babys position from inward to outward or the other way without taking of the carrier, therefore without putting the baby down. This matters for me as I go for example to the zoo with both kids and have nothing but the carrier for the youngest. So obviously I can’t ask my 2 year old to give me a hand to change the babys position ( ergo 360 and babybjorn allow that too, no way with the Lillebaby)
– back friendly waist belt with a pocket on it (no waist belt on the babybjorn, very loud velcro waist belt on the ergo 360. Lillebaby has a nice waistbelt too and offers a pocket on the back of the baby)
– relatively easy to put on and take off by myself (again think of the zoo situation) (ergos are a pain to put on and I would usually need help to close the back strap, babybjorns are the easiest to put on and take off, Lillebaby seems just as painful as the ergo) It took me about 5 attempts to figure out how to use the beco by myself, so it’s not too bad
– fits very small to very large people . The only carrier so far that my husband (6ft 8in) can use as well.If I wear it (5ft 7in) the leftover straps are kind of long hanging around, but I there is an elastic band on each fastener where you can hide the leftover straps once you rolled them up
– I can breastfeed in the carrier (takes some practice though)
– it looks good (so does the ergo 360, the lillebaby is kind of baggy looking)
– the head support which can be folded down for the outfacing position is very high when folded up, giving my baby a great, adjustable head support and shade when she falls asleep on my chest (looking inward)
– breathable and sunblocking 3d-mashes are perfect for the texas weather

This is a great carrier. We have found that it is the most comfortable of all the carriers we own, both for me and for my husband. The cross-straps in the back are way better than other brands. This carrier feels more friendly to us vertically-challenged people – I had a really hard time with the ErgoBaby carrier because of this (straps were way to big for smaller people). The mesh is great too.

I searched high and low for the perfect baby carrier – IT DOESN?T EXIST… however, I do really like this one and think it?s worth the 5-star rating. I have a 3-month old, weighing 12 lbs., 21? long and this carrier has been working great. I go on mile walks with baby and the dog and we?re all very comfortable for the 30-45 min stroll. The baby seems very comfortable in the carrier, both front facing and rear facing, worn on the front. He naps every time and we?ve never had any issue with circulation in his legs or discomfort. Putting the carrier on is fine to do on my own, a little bit of a struggle but totally doable.

Loved it so much we also bought the toddler version! My husband and I loved this carrier so much that we later purchased the toddler version for our son. We’ve owned many infant and toddler carriers over the years but this is the only one that both my husband and I mutually love. We live in Hawaii where it’s pretty much always warm so we needed a carrier that wouldn’t cause our little ones to be drenched in sweat after just a few minutes of use. This one not only keeps them at a comfortable temperature even after hours of wear but is really easy to take on and off and adjust. My husband is 6’5″ 250 lbs and I’m 5’4″ 120 lbs- quite the difference but we both wear these interchangeably and after the first few uses, it now only takes either of us about 30 seconds to get it adjusted and ready to wear. He seriously refused to wear any of our other carriers because they either weren’t comfy, were too hot, or he just couldn’t put them on by himself when he needed to. I highly recommend this carrier for moms, dads, grandparents, whoever needs to baby wear (or toddler wear)!

Best baby carrier! And I have owned or tried: Ergo, Lillebaby, Tula, and Infantino! The cool mesh is amazing, I can tell a big difference between it and the regular fabric Gemini. My baby also likes it and enjoys forward facing and inward facing. The fabric is comfortable for her also, normally with bare legs! I love the ability to cross the straps, it is life-changing in comfort and ability to baby wear for long periods.

Love it! Just love it! Perfect for newborns and toddlers. Easy to use ( except having to use two hands to remove the safety buckle on the waist). Looks good and is comfortable. I chose to purchase this over an ergo 360 because it could be used on newborns without an infant insert and because i didn’t want to deal with the velcro on the waist of the 360 (loud and too hard to adjust on the go). It is also less money without loosing quality. My only complaint is that there is not a large fabric sun shade for the baby’s head like there is for an ergo. The place i live is not overly sunny so this is only a hassel 2 months OUT of the year. Also, the Beco does not have a pouch to put keys/ credit card or phone into. I have an original ergo that also doesn’t have a storage pouch so its not a feature i care about but another person might want that feature.

My wife and I tried some other carriers and researched a lot of them without finding something appropriate for us. The Beco Gemini worked perfectly for us. It is lightweight, not bulky, and comfortable for parents and baby. We’ve already used it in short hiking trips and love it!

We love this carrier- it works well for me (5’2″) and my husband (6′), and it makes it possible to babywear in the Philadelphia summer, which is pretty central to our lives. This carrier also packs down and fits into a diaper bag without too much fuss. The only thing that I don’t love is that the mesh leaves an impression on my daughter’s legs if she isn’t wearing leggings/pants, but it’s not enough of an annoyance to impact the way we use it. If you’re on the fence you should go for it!

LOVE this carrier! I had the moby wrap but returned it because it was too cumbersome to put on and got so hot after wearing it (July/August) that my daughter threw up a couple times from the heat. I am 6ft tall and curvy body so I wanted something that would work with my body structure and that was comfortable for my back. I tried my friends infantino (older basic model) and hated it because it hurt my back. After lots of research I settled on the beco Gemini and love it. I have been using it for a month now and use it at least once a day. I have two under two and sometimes I need to wear my 2mth old so her 2 yr old sister won’t mess with her while I make dinner, do laundry, house cleaning etc. I also wear it for grocery shopping with both kids (wear the 2 mth old with 2 yr old in cart) and walking the dogs. I like the secure head rest because when I need to bend over to the dryer, dishwasher, bottom shelf, etc and baby does not fall out. Baby and I do get a little warm when we go for walks sometimes but that was primarily in the month of August (we live in the south) but since her arms and legs are free she doesn’t get too hot like she did in the moby wrap. This carrier is very comfortable to wear for several hours and easy to put on and take off. My husband is 6’4 and thin and did not think he would like wearing any carrier but tried this one after seeing how I liked it and he was surprised at how comfortable it was and now we fight over who is going to wear the baby when we take walks. I will say my baby just turned 2mths when we got this carrier and she is a tall infant (24inches 10lbs at 2mths) so I had no problems with her fitting securely. I do not know how well it would fit for a smaller infant. My two year old daughter got jealous of me wearing her sister in it all the time and wanted a turn so I put her in it on my back and went for a walk around the neighborhood. She loved it and I we were both comfortable. She is also a tall two year old and weighs over 30lbs (haven’t had her weighed in a while so I don’t know exact weight). I look forward to using this carrier for a while as my girls grow.

I am so happy with this purchase, we have been using it for our baby since he was a month old and now he is almost a year old(23 lbs). It has adjusted so well and its always been comfortable. We take it on walks, stores, actual hikes in the mountains, and he’s always done very well with it.
I have tried ergobaby, all kinds of cloth wraps, Chico carrier, and a couple more ( we got a lot fo hand-me-downs), and this is BY FAR the best and only one we use.
My back is extremely sensitive to weight and I do perfectly fine. Now that he is a much bigger baby, putting him on backpack style distributes the weight much better.
Its a very breathable carrier, too! We are never overheated in it.
STOP LOOKING NOW! HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

Love it love it love it! My boy is 14 months old and it’s still very easy to carry him on long trips. He liked this carrier since day one and has enjoyed it constantly ever since. Fabric is comfy, easy to clean, gentle over skin. We do get warm some times, but I just try to keep clothes according to the weather and the’s about it. Head support is the best feature, even though I use the phone pocket a lot, and recently love crossing the straps on the back. For us, it’s a must.

I’ve used this carrier so much, even for hikes. In fact I never even use a stroller because I find a carrier more efficient and also better for a happier baby. Being able to breastfeed on the go with a carrier like this makes life with a new babe so much less stressful and gives back some freedom. The only downside to this carrier is in summer time it’s pretty hot which is why I got a second all linen carrier for summer hot days!

Love, love this carrier. So easy to put on; I really struggled with the Ergo between the shoulders strap. The mesh is cool and baby feels secure.

I came from a regular tula that just got too hot so I hardly used it (Minnesota even!) So I got this and it’s amazing in any weather. We’re not big sweatballs anymore.

I love my Beco Gemini. I initially bought the ergo and the ergo insert for my son and it was just way too much fabric for the hot summertime. Also it took so long for me to put it on when he was fussy that it stressed me out and made me flustered. I love that the Beco takes seconds to put on and I don’t have to think about it at all or wear an extra sweaty layer between myself and my baby. Another think I like is the option to face in or out. This carrier was great through the airport on our first trip and we didn’t even need a stroller for the duration of our vacation because the beco was so comfortable. It is nice not having to lug around unnecessary equipment on a trip! If you are looking at the ergo or the beco buy this one for sure.

I love this I’m in Arizona and it’s perfect for our warm weather! I use this daily! And it fits a wide range of people from very thin to 2x male with extra slack?

I’ve used the Moby, the Ergo, the Baby Bjorn, and now the Beco Gemini. My 11 month old seems too big for the Bjorn and the Beco fits her better now so I am switching to the Beco. It’s not as convenient as the Bjorn because it’s harder to put on and take off. I don’t think you can take it off without putting the baby down because of the tri-lock on the waist belt which requires two hands to undo (unlike the simple buckle on the Bjorn) – that’s ok for toddlers but inconvenient for small babies. In addition, the Beco is not good for those of us with De Quervain’s because it requires lots of twists of the wrist and even the tri-lock can hurt because you have to press hard with your thumb. I’d recommend the Bjorn for babies until they grow out of it and then the Beco. That said, the Beco seems very well-made and durable and allows a forward-facing front carry, which not all larger carriers do. So I’m happy with it overall.
Review4u via Amazon.com –
This is a perfect carrier for summer!! In general, i prefer my mei tai carrier, but in the 110* heat, i needed something more versatile. And since the one of my dogs chewed my other Beco, i “needed” to replace it. This has been a great addition to my collection. It is very lightweight and has a neat pocket in the front to hold keys, debit cards, cash, or other small items like that. It is much cooler than my other carriers and is a pretty easy on/off for easy uppies.
The buckles are “safety buckles”, so you have to press the button in the middle at the same time as pinching the buckle sides. This can take some getting used to and although i have yet to master doing this with one hand (supposedly this is possible), i have gotten pretty fast at it.
I DO struggle with adjusting the straps once it is on, but that is my struggle with all buckle carriers, so i won’t hold it against them.
