For nine months, your baby has been cradled in your womb – warm, snug, and gently rocked to sleep beneath the reassuring sound of your heartbeat. At the moment of birth, he is thrust into a whole new world of sound and colour. It’s a big adjustment to make!
By carrying your baby close in the Hug-a-Bub organic pocket wrap carrier, you help give him a gentle transition to life outside the womb. Research has shown that babies who are worn in a wrap or sling cry less than those placed in a cot, stroller or infant seat, and that babywearing helps to promote secure mother-and-baby attachment. While the Hug-a-Bub might take a couple of practice runs, the results are worth it and recommended by hundreds and hundreds of parents. See 200 at Product Review alone.
Made from GOTS certified 100% organic cotton, the Hug-a-Bub organic pocket wrap carrier softly and supportively cradles your baby from head to toe, promoting orthopaedically correct positioning for your baby’s delicate hips and spine. The unique pocket feature is a self-storage pouch. Just tuck all the fabric into this pocket when it’s not in use and it becomes very portable and convenient.
The Hug-a-Bub organic pocket wrap carrier was designed in beautiful Byron Bay and 18 years on, is still proudly Australian. It’s named as a hip healthy product by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute, is endorsed by the Australian Physiotherapy Association and the Reflux Infant Support Association, and is a finalist in 2017 Mother & Baby Magazine Awards.

I absolutely love my hug a bub! I used it everyday and my bub loved being wrapped up and close. It felt very secure and so light, unlike other carriers I have. My only regret was not buying it sooner, I got it when he was 9 weeks old, I wish I had it from day one.

The very first time I wrapped my baby up in our new Hug-a-Bub, he snuggled in and fell fast asleep — normally he was a baby who was difficult to get to sleep and only slept for a short period of time, but this wrap revolutionised sleep for us! Suddenly I could be hands-free, with a contentedly sleeping baby. I absolutely love our Hug-a-Bub and have actually bought two additional Hug-a-Bubs just to lend out to new mummies, as I believe they are SO worthwhile.

Totally loved this carrier. So easy to get on and you can slip bubs in and out without having to remove the carrier. The soft material actually looks like you are wearing a top and bubs snuggles into so well that you can go about doing things like shopping and have free hands. I personally loved this carrier over woven carriers for newborn to aprox 6 months old. The pocket was great too for keeping wallet and keys. Good looking comfortable and all round winner

I used the original hugabub many moons ago with my first child, and then again last year with my second. I couldn’t fault it OR live without it! That piece of fabric got me through some tough times!
I recently purchased the ring sling now that my Bub is a little bigger, now ten months. He is up and down like a yoyo now he’s walking and also going through that clingy stage where he wants me close.
The ring sling has surpassed my expectations! Easy to use, light weight and cool to wear, comfy, and most of all my Bub loves it! He loves being on the hip and seeing everything, while feeling snugly at the same time.
Thanks again hugabub for another fab product!!

Absolutely fabulous, i could breastfeed on the go, and easily carry bubs everywhere. I enjoyed the ease of use and mastered a couple of wrapping styles.
I would highly recommend this for mums that are unsure on wrapping as the hug a bub was a forgiving wrap that has some flex to get bubs in and out. I found if planning to use sometimes was easier to put on before at shops and the ends can be quite long and drape onto the ground. But the more you use, the quicker and better you get.

My daughter is 3 months old and has to be carried for hours to go to sleep, after researching for hours I decided on getting the hug a Bub organic wrap. Honestly the best thing I have ever purchased. It comes with picture instructions which look complex but it’s super easy to put on after the first go, bubba is super secure and comfortable and I can do almost anything while wearing her, cleaning, eating, hair and makeup etc. I’m so happy I purchased this and I seriously have no complaints, it’s perfect.

I absolutely love my hug-a-bub!!! Definitely the purchase I suggest as a must have to new mums. Even with a summer baby the wrap was cool and comfortable to wear. An absolute life saver at dinner time with 2 under 18mths – bub is secure and content but your hands are free. I even wore it during the night when bub was restless and it worked every time.

I wouldn’t have done without my hug-a-bub, especially with my younder two children. It meant that I could do school drop offs without a pram or car capsule when they are so little and love to be close. I worked out how to feed with my babies in the carrier as well, although I know some who found that more difficult. Once you get the hang of doing up the wrap, it really becomes second nature. I had a sling for my first son, and this was very handy as well, although second and third time around I found the wrap easier as I needed my hands free more and found baby is tighter against you than in the sling.

Love it! So snugly!! Get the best bonding sesh with bubs. It can be a bit tricky to use, harder when bubs is bigger. Once you get the hang of it, it’s great. Nice light weight material, comfy to use and wear. Really breathable! It keeps bubs in good position and secure

The Hug-a-bub was my go to carrier for he fourth trimester. I loved how comfortable it was to wear and how soft it was against mine and bubbys skin.
I have held onto my Hug-a-bub as I will definitely get more use out of it. Very comfortable for those little squishys(newborns).

I went into the shop looking for a sling but came out with a Hug-a-Bub and I haven’t yet regretted it. In the short time I’ve had it, it’s saved me on multiple occasions when dealing with a fussy bub who just wants to be held. The wrap holds him upright enough to facilitate burping etc (he often doesn’t burp till twenty minutes after he’s finished a bottle) but relaxed enough that he can fall asleep easily. I practised in front of the mirror the first few times I used it but can now arrange it confidently without looking.
There are a plethora of youtube tutorials out there – I found some alternate ties that were easier for me to use than the tie recommended by the Hug-a-Bub site.

Most versatile sturdy yet stretchy wrap, used it for my tiniest prem to my big 4.2 kg newborn. Easy to use not to much fabric and even looks good on. I recommend it to all my clients and have lent it to all my friends . Would not have a baby without it

I purchased a blue & magenta hug-a-bub; the blue was well loved and just perfect – I really couldn’t have done without it & my daughter thrived in it. Unfortunately the magenta was made from a different material or weave and the stretch in it was too much – I didn’t feel my girl was as secure in it, so I really only used it for emergency use.
I also purchased the sling, but I didn’t actually use that at all.

I used mine from when my son was one day old. The material is comfortable and light, once I watched the instructional video it was as easy as tying my shoelaces. Being able to leave it on and just slip bub in and out was a bonus! It was the only way I got anything done for the first 6 months of his life. He loved being snuggled into mumma all day. It was a beautiful experience for us both.

Love this product! It wasn’t cheap, but I had a baby who screamed from 1 week of age for at lease 12 hours per day with colic / reflux. No soothing would help until I tried hug-a-bub. Wearing my baby in the hug-a-bub reduced the screaming to around 1 hour per day and enabled me to have my hands free and look after my 18 month old child while still carrying the baby. Loved it so much that I couldn’t bring myself to sell it when my child had grown out of it and will be saving it for when my daughter has a screaming baby of her own! Negatives: a) is it does take a bit of practice to put on, adjust and take the baby out, but it does come with a good instruction DVD and I thought it was well worth the effort; b) not so comfortable to use for the heavier child (I switched to the ring sling predominantly from around 4-6 months). My husband found it more comfortable to use, with his chronic back issues, than the ring sling. I used both and found the pocket wrap great for the screaming small baby but the ring sling best once they got a bit older.

I love my hug a Bub. With my eldest, we would spend hours sitting cuddling while she slept. I was afraid my son would miss out on that closeness. But I was able to wrap him close for a cuddle and still get on with minding my three year old. Even after having my c section, it’s always been comfortable to wear. I had a winter baby who had to spend lots of time outside while his sister played. I always knew he was warm when he was on my chest.

I used my hug a bub wrap every day with my first. She wanted to be held for all her naps and would not let me put her down. This was the most comfortable carrier and I tried a lot!! the fabric spreads the weight across your body so there are no sore pressure spots- it’s like having bub in your t shirt. When my second came along he spent a lot of time in it too – he was happy and I had my hands free to look after my toddler. Third baby came along and has lived happily in there while I carry on with the older two. So it’s lasted 3 babies and held them close and snug. Really highly recommend!! Best way to care for baby and get on with things. This was my most used and loved baby item!!

We used the Hug-a-bub from 2 weeks first time in the middle of the night in a dim hope of alleviating colic and it worked! Then hands free snuggle transport. I transported buba all over London on public transport (buses, trains & ferries) with ease. Then travelling just buba and I across the world. Great in crowds such markets. Super easy, super comfy and machine washable! I would recommend the hugabubb as an essential to every parent.

Agree with all the positive reviews. Also, want to add I got fast shipping / delivery. Rang Customer Service to ask for help – as I was a bit confused when putting it on first time. Staff sorted everything out with me over the phone. Helped me figure out how to put the wrap on safely and snug. I was confident from the first time I carried bub in the wrap, now I don’t use anything else. Customer Service staff also gave me you-tube video instructions, I saved them on my phone. So easy.

Loved it for both my two kids, was particularly good for newborn Bub with 17month old toddler so I could put one in the hug a Bub and carry the other. Bit warm in summer but lovely in the aircon, took a while to learn to put it on but felt so secure and safe once on.

I was struggling with a new-born who suffered from reflux and would not be put down, it was getting to me as I like to be active around the house and with walking the dog etc and I was beginning to go a bit stir-crazy. Purchasing my hug-a-bub when my little girl was 1.5 months allowed me to meet the needs of my bub while allowing some normalcy to return to my life, great for my health and mental state. The hug-a-bub came with easy to follow instructions and I was able to master its use with only a couple of quick practice ties on a doll. I thoroughly recommend it.

After my first baby whom I wore in various carriers bc I could only tolerate each one’s particular discomfort for a day or two at a time. I literally tried every sling/wrap etc on the market! Some I ruled out just bc getting the baby into it by myself involved some ridiculous premis! Then, baby #2 on the way & saw a woman in a baby mag. wearing the Hugabub!! Just from the picture I could tell it was the one!!! Ordered it & had great exchange with the owners bc they searched all over Australia to get me the color I wanted! Long story short Got it LOVED it, never looked back! People stopped me everywhere (street, laundrmat, etc) to ask me what it was /where can they get it?! Eventuslly (for about 1.5 yrs) I became first USA distributor selling Hugabub on my own to women around NYC and across the country! Almost everyone who bought one eventually bought another as a gift for someone else! 14 yrs later, We still order them as gifts for preggy friends!

Perfect for on the go, baby will sleep in it. This saved my sanity with a refluxy baby as it was the only place she would nap. I now use it for my 7 week old son. He will snuggle up and sleep in it which gets us through errands and grocery shopping.
Sling is comfortable and hard-wearing.
